A Short Open Letter to the Girl That Doesn't Feel Beautiful
To my beautifully, broken beauty…
This is the start of something new. This is the day that you begin to see your worth and your loveliness.
This is the day it all changes.
I’m sorry that you see your flaws as burdens, rather than blessings. I’m sorry that you see yourself as average when you’re actually superior. I’m sorry you forget to remind yourself how beautiful you are.
I’m sorry that I have to tell you to.
I’m sorry about the guy that said all the nice things, made you feel all warm and fuzzy inside and then stopped replying. I’m sorry he painted this image of his admiration for you and then left you like a blank canvas, waiting for someone else to start all over.
I’m sorry he did that.
I’m sorry that society has wants. I’m sorry they want you to have filled lips, wider hips, a bigger butt and a fuller bust.
I’m sorry they can’t accept you for your size and who you were made to be.
I don’t know what happened to you and I don’t know when, but I’m here for you.
I’m here to tell you that you are far more precious than rubies.
You are more than your size, shape or figure.
You are electric. You are BEAUTIFUL.
You are a woman that deserves to be treated like the Queen you are. Beauty is only skin deep.
Remember your charm, charisma, intelligence and wit, outshine everything else.
I don’t know when you lost sight of who you are, but I do know that I want you to get it back.
Start small but start now.
Tell yourself that you are worthy.
Give yourself compliments.
Remind yourself of the good qualities you possess.
Take a look at who you are and what you have – embrace it.
Whether they tell you or not, you are exquisite. You deserve to know that.
You deserve to feel that.
You owe it to yourself.
The Queen that finally found her beauty and embraced it
